Wow you so accurately depicted what a panic attack feels like and the steps we take to avoid those triggers.
I'm not claustrophobic but I've had panic attacks and I think it's very similar; you feel like you are literally dying. Even if you KNOW you aren't. Even if you look calm on the outside, your heart and mind are racing. Just like a panic attack, the word claustrophobic doesn't really do it justice
Hi SG What you are explaining in your post is exactly what I’m here to learn people to overcome. ‘THE ANXIETY STATE’ which includes (PD) that you were experiencing along with (OCD) (GAD) (MDD) (VEBs) or anything that included FEAR or PHOBIAS. I suffer all of these in my earlier life till I found the answer that I was looking for, that relieved me of all of them. I post a ‘John’s Blog’ on SS Every week and I have wrote 3 books on the subject that can be bought off Amazon Kindle. The main one that covers everything is Titled: “Acceptance Change the way you are thinking” please keep connected on SS SG. We have a LOT in common. John Edwards
We must understand our fears and their origins to accept them and move on. They’re still there but our response changes. Great piece, it reminded me when I was stuck in an elevator as a child. However I like small places I don’t know why, like the tiny Japanese houses :)
I can see how this fear produced anxiety… enjoyed visiting a season in your childhood hood- although it was difficult.. with the scary elevator waiting in the hall—

Very moving piece! I liked how it softened as a quiet acceptance at the end. <3
This is beautiful!
❤️❤️
That is freaking moving. I felt the attack coming on. As someone with experience I felt it right (❤️) here. Thank you for helping identify the cycle.
❤️
That shift into the body really lands—the elevator moment stays with you.
I felt that! Thank you for sharing your vulnerability!
That moment when you feel something and don’t have a name for it really spoke to me. Beautiful piece ☺️

Amazing piece.
Thank you 😊❤️
Your strory deeply moved me.
Some memories don't leave us that easily, whether they are good or bad. Maybe with the time passes you will get used to it.
Sending you strength and power to overcome that fear.
